Francisco has been working in the international trade field for more than 8 years. He has advised companies on the analysis of preferential customs treatment under various Free Trade Agreements, including those with Mexico, Korea, the USA, China and the European Union, for the importation of pharmaceutical products, petroleum, chemicals, hazardous substances, and other regulated and unregulated goods. Additionally, he has been involved in optimizing customs operations in Chile and identifying opportunities to enhance the efficiency of companies’ import processes.
His practice also focuses on the representation of clients in administrative processes, litigation, and negotiations with the National Customs Service on matters such as the imposition of customs duties and fines on imports, origin verification procedures, product valuation audits, preferential treatment under Free Trade Agreements, and tariff classification.
Francisco graduated from Universidad de los Andes, Chile, and holds an LL.M. in International Business Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom.
