Manolo González Jaraba holds a degree in Law and is a former State Tax Inspector. He has held various positions within the State Tax Administration Agency, such as head of the Regional Customs and Excise Unit of Catalonia and head of the Technical Office of this Unit.
He has published numerous articles on customs, excise and environmental tax issues, as well as on tax in general and matters related to the European Union. He has authored several books on these subjects, such as “Los impuestos especiales de ámbito comunitario”, “El sistema de impuestos especiales en España”, “Las claves del procedimiento sancionador tributario”, “El marco legal de los derechos antidumping”, “Comprender los impuestos Especiales”, “Lo que debería saber sobre el impuesto de matriculación”, “Los impuestos especiales armonizados”, “The legal framework of anti-dumping duties”, “La protección de los intereses financieros de la Unión Europea” o “Fiscalidad europea: un equilibrio de fuerzas”, having also collaborated as an author in the Mementos de Impuestos Especiales y Aduanero.
He has lectured at the “Escuela de la Hacienda Pública“, and currently lectures at the “Academia para la Difusión y el Conocimiento del Derecho Aduanero“, having given numerous training courses on customs, excise and taxation in general.
He is a specialist in EU and domestic regulations and jurisprudence related customs, excise duties and environmental taxes, providing advisory and advocacy services related to them.
